Nearest spiral galaxy

 Andromeda, a spiral galaxy like milky way.

Astronomers believe it contains as many trillion stars. At 2.5 million light-years away, Andromeda is the farthest thing we can see with the naked eye, but it's getting closer all the time. Someday, the milky 

Way and Andromeda galaxies will collide,

Sharing their Star dust and spawning new stars. It's doubtful any humans will see this cosmic collation, which won't happen until four billion years in the future
